Visit Sencelles

Sencelles has about 3,000 registered inhabitants and is one of the districts that forms part of the Pla de Mallorca. It consists of small villages; Biniali, Cas Canà, Jornets, Ruberts and Son Arrossa.

After the village of Sencelles, Biniali,is the second village of the district with the largest number of inhabitants of around 250. The first settlers date back to prehistoric times, as up to eight archaeological sites have been discovered, among them the Cova Monja, a settlement with important talayotic remains.

The definition of 'llogaret' is that of a town that doesnt have its own town hall and therefore belongs to and is located within a district. These small villages tend to have few buildings and a very small number of streets, houses and residents. In Sencelles, the llogarets of are located; Jornets, Ruberts and Cas Canà (Cascanar).
