Our wine cellars
Celler’ is synonymous with ‘mesón’ or ‘bodega’ and the Catalan toponym for the place where wine is traditionally made and stored.
In the most ancestral rural Mallorca, dedicated for thousands of years to vine cultivation and wine production, as is the case of Sencelles, this type of establishment is deeply rooted in the architecture of the area.
The ‘cellers’ are installed inside the large ‘possessions’ (country estates) and are characterised by large vats or barrels for storing wine, fireplaces and decorative farm implements.
Nowadays, most of the ‘cellers’ in Sencelles offer the best of Mallorcan gastronomy, which is usually paired with the local wines, as well as offering direct sales of the vintages.
